First Day Hike - St. Joe State Park - First Day Hike - St. Joe State Park

Take a guided 1.25-mile hike along the Lakeview Trail to start off the new year. The majority of Lakeview Trail consists of natural surfaces, such as dirt and rock, but a 0.2-mile section along Monsanto Lake is paved and accessible. Portions of the trail along the lake follow the contours with a few rolling hills. Other portions of the trail are somewhat steep with loose gravel. The hike will be relatively easy overall and will cover a distance of 1.25 miles. This event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks and wear closed-toe shoes. Hike time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Meeting location: Shelter 6 at Monsanto Lake (GPS coordinates: 37.812500, -90.501944)
